- Summary: In 1999, radio producers Paul Ingles and Joe Warnes went in pursuit of an interview with the Godfather of Soul, James Brown at a tour stop in Albuquerque. As they pursued a private audience with Brown, they managed to capture his essence by talking to fans and handlers and by taking listeners inside the arena for a taste of a James Brown show. Offered here in a 29 minute doc and a 6:30 excerpt. A Bonus Music Sweep is added for Stations Needing 53:00 or 58:00 Hours.

Paul Ingles is one of public radio's most promising producers, he combines traditional radio reportage with NPR-style reportage in this great tribute to the Godfather of Soul that any radio station looking to pay tribute to James Brown soon not miss. As an added bonus, in addition to taking you behind-the-scenes, you get to hear excerpts from the show itself. A fitting tribute to one of the greatest performers of our time.
