This is not just cleaning up chewing gum from the sidewalk with a spray can and a scraper, apparently now, there's a more complicated way. This guy is colorful, and glad to have heard his side of the story. Great people-centered element.
I really like this piece. The narrator's voice was so authentic to NYC and his storytelling skills drew me to the piece even more. That coupled w/the nat sound and the quirkiness of the topic make it a memorable piece.
To be honest, I had never thought about "gum polution."
I liked this little piece. The earnestness of the speaker and the convoluted - but very serious - language used to describe the act of removing gum from the sidewalks of New York, hooked me.
