This is a series of programs featuring the best known clubs that sprang up because of Prohibition. So, a deep dive into Connie’s Inn is on tap, located on a Harlem hot spot known as “The Corner”. Established in 1923 by bootlegger Connie Immerman, it was considered one of the three best in the New York City area. The Cotton Club and Small’s Paradise were the others that made up the big three of Jungle Alley, as it was known.
