From the Vault is a musical treasure hunt for unusual, intriguing and underplayed classical music of the 20th and 21st century. These "hidden gems" give listener's the chance to experience fascinating music that is out of the ordinary.

From the Vault presents music that is out of the ordinary. Music from the 20th and 21st century that is for the musically curious who enjoy going on a weekly treasure hunt for pieces by Eric Ewazen, Eric Whitacre, Graeme Koehne, Frank Martin, Bohuslav Martinu, William Grant Still, Michael Daugherty and many others.

These one-hour episodes include full orchestra and choral works as well as chamber music for brass, strings and winds and, once in a while some remarkable music by composers from other eras. Your host is Henri Pensis, has been working in public radio since 1977 in many roles and classical music has been a common denominator at each stop.

Join us for the weekly treasure hunt that is From the Vault. From the Vault is produced at the facilities of WICR Radio at the University of Indianapolis.
