KSRQ is Pioneer 90.1, a college-owned, community-focused broadcaster serving Northwest Minnesota and the greater Grand Forks, ND region. Pioneer 90.1 originates from the Center for New Media at Northland Community & Technical College in Thief River Falls. The station features a blend of Americana music, locally-produced specialty programs (The Saturday Morning Barndance, The Root Cellar, Basement Rock), and programming from the Association of Minnesota Public and Educational Radio Stations (AMPERS).

The Music Room is an interactive project where Pioneer 90.1 works with northwest Minnesota high school and college band, orchestra and choir directors to record and broadcast the various school concerts and events that are presented throughout the school year.
