Everyone thinks that someone else's job is "idyllic and fun," and everyone sees themself as unprofessional. On a side note, I hope you have an iPhone or Android that you use as a backup for that sweet minidisc recorder. :-)
Especially for a western audience, it's surprising to hear about Middle Eastern women, who we often see as being conservative as Quakers, being concerned about their appearance. Interestingly enough, my wife was watching Sex and the City 2 late last night, and the subject of fashion in Abu Dhabi was addressed in the movie. After watching the movie and hearing this piece, I wonder if anything of the silliness in the movie is true.
I've never heard an episode of SOTRU I didn't like, but this one is definitely my second favorite, only after the super hero episode. I am a casual Second Lifer and Redditer, I have seen everything that this story talks about. Great job getting the whole story in a snapshot.

My inner nerd living in my parent's basement loved this episode!
