Review of The Romantic Patent Office Manager (deleted)
Another outstanding hour, proving that this show is aptly named. It provides a new library of composers, works, and performers to add to your own classical music world. Fred Flaxman had done all the research. You can sit back and enjoy the coloful fruit of his labors. Chock full of succinct details and delivered ina a warm, lowe-keyed, inclusive style.
Once again, we are in the hands of a wonderfully well-informed guide as we discover yet another composer and his work. As always, the commentary is refreshing, the music inviting, and the atmosphere is a warm welcoming one. I only wish that one of the Boston stations would pick this show up for broadcast!
Once again, Fred Flaxman finds a way to present engaging music, outstanding performances, and deft tongue-in-cheek commentary for an hour well-worth the listening. As always, he is a welcome visitor for both his own comments and the musical presents he brings.
