This is a colorful story with a big, interesting cast of characters. A piece about the routines and adventures of a travelling circus could easily come across as predictable, but the producer presents the performers' stories with respect and surprising insight. And the piece is full of rich, exciting natural sound.
As upbeat a tribute piece as you're likely to hear. The producer does a good job of allowing Brown's music and voice to tell her story. In a succinct and sound-rich memorial, this piece offers an interesting and relatively comprehensive look at the highs and lows of Brown's life and career. The narrative transisitions could be a little more elegant, but, on the whole, this is an enjoyable story.
